Who we are

Q Associates Ltd is a chartered quantity surveying and green building consultancy company incorporated in 1991 to meet the growing need for integrated professional services in the Nigerian Construction Industry. The firm’s detailed knowledge of the Nigerian Economy and the local building industry enables it to effectively administer, monitor and control the project development and implementation process from inception to completion, through the application of rigorous professional standards. Since then the Firm has experienced a rapidly expanding client base, and concomitant growth in human, capital and technological resources.

Danjuma Waniko

Managing Consultant / CEO

Mr. Waniko is the Managing Director of Q Associates Limited, he holds a BSc. (Bachelors of science) in Quantity Surveying, with 2nd Class Upper Division (1987) from A.B.U (Ahmadu Bello University) Zaria and Diploma in Computer Programming (1988). He is a recipient of the best Overall Final Year Student, Department of Surveying, A.B.U. Zaria (1987) prizes/awards and NIQS Prize for Best Student in Professional Practice Exam (1991). He is a professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS); Member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MNIQS); Registered Quantity Surveyor of Nigeria; Green Star SA Accredited Professional; Member of the Association of Cost Engineers (MACostE); Member of the Construction Specifications Institute; Member of the Project Management Institute. Mr. Waniko is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Green Star SA Accredited Professional with over 2½ decades experience in the Nigerian construction industry.

Abdulaziz O. Aliu

Deputy Managing Consultant / COO

Mr. Abdulaziz O. Aliu, is a highly experienced registered quantity surveyor, construction management expert and facility manager. He is a proven specialist in project planning/development, continuous quality improvement, financial & statistical analysis, and cross-functional team leadership, with over twenty years’ experience in the Nigerian construction industry. He joined Q Associates as a Junior Quantity Surveyor in 2004, rising to the position of Principal Consultant & Chief Operating Office in 2015. In this role, Mr. Aliu is responsible for day-to-day operations at Q Associates, including oversight of the firm’s many projects. During his years at Q Associates, he has successfully stewarded major public and private sector projects, holding key roles/responsibilities in landmark projects such as the National Information Technology Center, a multi-story office development and data center in the heart of Abuja, Nigeria for Galaxy Backbone Ltd. Mr. Aliu obtained a Higher National Diploma in Quantity Surveying from the prestigious Kaduna Polytechnic in 2001, and has since acquired several postgraduate qualifications. These include two Postgraduate Diplomas (Civil Engineering & Construction Management) and a Masters in Facilities Management. He holds important professional certifications and licenses, including Member of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Member of Quantity Surveyors International, and Member of the American Association of Cost Engineers.
